Gradačac, 28.05. 2016. – The Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks, Majlis of the Islamic Community of Gradačac, Gradačac Municipality, University of Tuzla and the Tuzla Canton Institute for the Protection and Use of Cultural and Natural Heritage organized a conference titled “Cultural-Historical Heritage of Gradačac” which was held in Gradačac on 28.05.2016.
The conference was attended by the followong researchers: prof.dr. Bušatlić Ismet, mr.sc. Djedović Rusmir, dr.sc. Šuško Dževada, dr. hfz. Duranović Elvir, dr.sc. Hamzić Omer, prof.dr. Isanović Nusret, prof.dr. Jahić Adnan, Kavazović Osman, prof. emeritus Kožar Azem, mr.sc. Hadžimusić Semir, Kujović Mina, mr.sc. Kujraković Nusret, mr.sc. Lavić Osman, mr.sc. Nurkić Kemal, MA. Rabić Nedim, prof dr. Šabotić Izet, mr.sc. Sulejmanović Šefko, prof. dr. Amira Turbić Hadžagić, doc.dr. Elvir Musić, prof.dr. Užičanin Salkan and mr.sc. Zulić Omer.
Their papers dealt with, among others, Gradačac town in late 19th century, cultural-educational and other organizations, Čaršija mosque, Husein Captain Gradaščević mosque, madrasahs , oriental-islamic books during the Ottoman period, private archives etc. All the papers will be published in a conference proceedings by the end of the year.
