The issue of a unified Islamic authority in Europe often named as the “European mufti” became again a matter of debate in the media recently.
Thus, on 28th of January 2014, under the patronage of reisu-l-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović, the head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Hercegovina, the Institute for the Bosniak Islamic Tradition organized an internal debate with leading religious figures affiliated with the Islamic Community in BiH.
The goal of the internal debate was to gather statements regarding this issue, analyze the needs and opportunities, as well as to bring forth conclusions and recommendations for eventual further actions.
